Before you fly · Twelve weeks

Twelve weeksto weightless

No astronaut résumé needed. Our crew trains you on the ground until the flight itself feels like the easy part.

  1. Week 01

    Medical and centrifuge

Two days of checks and your first 4 G spin. Most guests laugh the whole way round.

  2. Week 03

    Parabolic flights

Twenty-two arcs of weightlessness over the Atlantic. You learn to stop, turn and drink.

  3. Week 06

    Suit fitting

Your pressure suit is cut to you, tested to 0.3 bar and stitched with your flight number.

  4. Week 09

    Full simulator

Launch, docking and re-entry in a full-motion cabin, with the same crew you will fly with.

  5. Week 12

    Quarantine and launch

Ten quiet days on the coast. Then the countdown reaches zero.

Questions

Beforeyou go

Do I need to be an athlete?

No. Guests from 18 to 76 have finished our training. You need a medical pass, a steady heart and twelve free weeks.

How safe is the flight?

Every flight uses a capsule with a launch-abort system, three independent life-support loops and a crew of two.

What can I bring?

Three kilograms of personal items. We provide the suits, the food and a camera fixed in the cupola.

Can I cancel my seat?

Yes, up to 120 days before launch, minus the training already used.

Is Halcyon real?

No. Halcyon Orbital is a fictional company made for a design demo. Nothing on this page is for sale.
