Ishaare.com, a love marriage platform
A love marriage platform for South Asians, between a dating app and a matrimonial site. A signup split into five steps, ID verification against fake profiles, and limits that make people decide on one prospect before the next.

Arranged marriages are scary. So we launched Ishaare.com.
A little bit about the product
Ishaare is a platform designed to facilitate meaningful connections and relationships. It provides users with a space to create profiles and connect with others who share similar interests, values, and life goals. With a focus on fostering genuine connections rather than casual encounters, Ishaare aims to help individuals find long-term partners and build lasting relationships. The platform offers features such as profile customisation, advanced matching algorithms, and privacy settings to enhance the user experience and ensure compatibility. Whether you're looking for romance, friendship, or companionship, Ishaare strives to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals seeking meaningful connections.

Are we a dating or matrimonial platform? None, we are different. Not a dating app, and not a matrimonial site. Ishaare is a love marriage platform: a unique blend of both worlds.
Core of the problem
- Designed to settle faster.
- We want to deliver quality prospects.
- Fill our long sign up page.
- How to control profile rejection by the user.
- How to reach the same number of women and men on this platform.
Problem solution
- Designed to settle faster. Good design changes the use case of your product, so the problem we solve is to make a luxury and easy to use design.
- We want to deliver quality prospects. So we put many limitations in the signup page, and after submission we use Persona ID verification to decrease fake users.
- Fill our long sign up page. This is a big challenge for us, because users fill in a lot of details. That is the reason we break our signup form into five ishaare, and also try to give some fun in it using GupShup.
- How to control profile rejection by the user. We put a monthly limit on how many profiles are revealed according to the user's filters, and also a limit on every single profile before moving to the next: "make a decision first".
- How to reach the same number of women and men on this platform. We can take this situation from a marketing perspective.
Wireframe

The signup as five steps. Only the first is open at the start, the rest are locked, and each one turns green when it is done.

The main screens: new profiles, received, matches ("chat with up to 3 people at a time", with chat rooms open and closed), and chat, with each person's Ishaare one tab away.
Visual UI designs with solutions
We divide our signup form into five ishaare

- Namaste. Here we fill basic details related to the user's life style and age, height, zodiac or more.
- Ishq Vishq. Here we fill romantic level, love language, traits or more.
- GupShup. Here we set some fun for the user to choose: your favourite show, movies, food, drinks, or more.
- Khatta Meetha. Here we fill our five questions to get close to the user's habits or life style.
- Photos. The most important part of our signup page.
UX law: Zeigarnik Effect.
Not moving on without filling the previous step

Here we are not moving on to the next step without filling the previous one.
Important take-aways
- Here the user fills in full details one step at a time, so we can review them after submission and approve the profile accordingly.
User centric: User control.
Photos, the last step

People remember uncompleted or interrupted tasks better than completed ones.
Important take-aways
- Seeing an incomplete action motivates people to complete it.
- People always tend to have everything in a finished state.
UX law: Zeigarnik Effect.
Secured identity verification

The Safe Space screen reads: "Our mission is to provide you a safe and trustworthy space where you can be yourself without having to worry about encountering fake or deceptive profiles. We have joined forces with Persona, industry's leading ID verification platform. Thank you, Founding Team."
Important take-aways
- The ID verification process is there to identify fake profiles.
Profile under review

Your application journey: Ishaare submitted, set match preferences, and love destiny begins.
Profile under review. After it is approved, we can move the user onto the platform.
Edit Ishaare and filter review. In this review time the user can change their Ishaare and set filters accordingly.
Filters to achieve your profile matching goal

- Find the perfect profile for the user very fast.
- Here we provide minimal filters.
- All filters are important to find the perfect match.
User centric: Flexibility and efficiency of use.
Decide on one prospect before the next

We put a limitation on moving to the next profile: first decide on your current prospect before moving to the next. The message the user sees is "Quality over Quantity".
User centric: User control.
A chance to sell the product

Here we can put a limit for users: they can not uncover every received profile at a single time if they are on the basic version of our platform. In the basic version they uncover the first one and make a decision on it, then they uncover the next received profile.
Matches: chat with up to 3 people at a time

Here, if all 3 chat rooms are in use, we show that the chat room is full, so no one new can chat with this person. A chat is possible if any chat room is open.
User centric: User control.
Go to chat, also show Ishaare

Users have only 3 chat rooms, so if they are full, they can not add anyone to a chat room. From a chat, the other person's Ishaare is one tab away.
User centric: User control.
